Edward A. Shapira, Esq.
Attorney Edward Shapira is founder and lead attorney at the Law Office of Edward A. Shapira. Originally from New Bedford, Massachusetts, Attorney Shapira enrolled in the United States Naval Reserves in 1959, where he was in active service for two years. Edward eventually went to Rhode Island to attend Bryant College and graduated in 1965. Less than five years later, he attended New England School of Law where he gradated in 1972.
Attorney Shapira has over 35 years of experience practicing in areas of law that include criminal defense, workers’ compensation, and personal injury. At one time he was also a former criminal prosecutor for the Providence Police Department.
Edward Shapira also has experience teaching criminal justice and business law courses at Roger Williams University and Johnson & Wales University.
Attorney Shapira is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, American Bar Association, the Rhode Island Criminal Defense League, and the Rhode Island Association for Justice.
